AAAAHHHH come on Laurie that’s obviously extremely low scattered cloud.
My last flight was instructing with my nephew. It was 38deg and I only did it cause of the cue and figured the engine wouldn’t run for long. It didn’t. At 700feet and 180deg CHT we went to idle and soared to 9000. Engine was cooled down and shut off at 2000. Bear in mind it was 38 outside and we were climbing at 8 knots so 2000 was where the temps got to 120 for shut down. That was January and gee we had some top weather. Bloody hot but great at about 7000 or so. Trouble is eventually you have to come down. That’s the sad part. Pressures from other quarters meant I didn’t get to do some cross country work to try and better last year’s effort. So I will continue to remember my little sortie solo last year. FIA 100K triangle in 1 hour 6 mins wheels off the runaway to wheels on for six minutes of engine for the launch. Top height 11,000. Best climb in excess of 10 knots. Don’t know the peak as I don’t have an average’er and the audio and needle were pegged at ten. Ground temp was 36. Cue was abundant. Dimona pilots dream. Nige.
