Hi Sue.

I am the moderator of this mailing list.

Yes a big long shot.

But you scored sort of well.

Cause I know what you are talking about and have let the mail through to the
list.

The STOA was John Viney and his daughter is Samantha A.K.A. Sam.

John has since passed away and was a good friend of mine.

I will pass on your regards to Sam.

John was involved in air cadet training among other things gliding and a loving
father and all round good bloke. I think of him often.

Yes he flew scouts guides etc.

A very very much missed friend.

Subject: [DOG mailing list] STO airworthiness

Hello, This is a long shot! I found this email in a search for
'StoAirworthiness'.

In 2006 a kind man and his daughter (I think) gave our Ranger Guide Unit a
lesson and spin in his glider using Echuca Airport, northern Victoria. It was a
remarkable experience.

I was their leader at the time. All of those young ladies have gone on to do
well in their lives. I am sure the experiences offered through Ranger Guides
has assisted in this so when I came across the name of the company I gave a fee
on the day (I bet it hardly covered costs) I wanted to say another 'thank you'.

If you have contact with STO Airworthiness please pass this on. I don't even
have the man's name but I REALLY remember the day. I had been seriously ill and
was so grateful, at the time, to be able to offer our country kids a window
into flying which helped them gain the highest honour 'Queens Guide'!

Thank you for your time,

Sue Meeking
