Menembus Belantara Pemeriksaan Kesehatan (Penentuan Fit untuk bekerja), Hotel Harris Jakarta, 20-21 November 2007.
Di antara berbagai program Kesehatan Kerja, Pemeriksaan Kesehatan Pekerja merupakan satu-satunya upaya yang paling banyak dilakukan oleh perusahaan. Namun demikian upaya yang menelan banyak biaya ini tidak banyak bermanfaat baik untuk pekerja maupun perusahaan, karena: 1.Pemeriksaan kesehatan dilakukan secara membabi buta, berdasarkan penawaran provider yang berdasarkan paket pemeriksaan yang dibuat tidak berdasarkan kebutuhan kesehatan kerja; 2.Banyak perusahaan tidak melakukan health risk assessment, sehingga tidak pernah mengetahui apa kebutuhan pemeriksaan kesehatan untuk para pekerjanya; 3.Banyak provider yang mengandalkan pemeriksaan kesehatan atas dasar pemeriksaan laboratorium yang sebenarnya hanyalah pemeriksaan penunjang, sementara pemeriksaan fisik tidak dilakukan secara benar; 4.Kualitas pemeriksaan kesehatan yang dilakukan oleh provider sangatlah rendah (akurasi pemeriksaan dokter, akurasi pemeriksaan laboratorium, jangka pengambilan sample dan pemeriksaan yang sangat lama dll); 5.Analisis hasil pemeriksaan (laporan individu, laporan manajemen, analisis) belum memadai, karena tidak komunikatif untuk bisa dimengerti oleh manajemen perusahaan; Karena itu Yayasan Sudjoko Kuswadji akan menyelenggarakan sebuah pelatihan pemeriksaan kesehatan (Fit for work), di Hotel Harris Jakarta, mulai tanggal 20-21 November 2007. Among the various Occupational Health programs, Workers medical examination is the only effort that has been done by many companies. However this costly action does not produce much benefit both for the employees and the companies. The reasons could be summarized as follows: 1. The medical examination carried out haphazardly, based on the medical package offer of the provider that was not occupational health need designed; 2. Many companies does not perform health risk assessment, so that they will never know what is the medical exams needed by their employees; 3. Many providers relied on the result of laboratories tests, that only supported the physical examination, while the physical examination itself is mostly neglected; 4. The quality of the medical examination carried out by provider is very low (physician examination is not accurate, the laboratories tests contained may errors, the time period between taking sample and the testing carried is very long etc.); 5.
