In order to make this work as desired, we need to change the fourth
argument of python FunctionSpace constructor from:

        def __init__(self, mesh, family, degree,
                 restriction=None):

to  (for instance)

        def __init__(self, mesh, family, degree, form_degree=None,
                 restriction=None):
