Defining these environment variables should work, but if the CMake cache
has already been created, then I think they will have no effect. Try to
delete the build tree and configure again.
You can also force CMake to use a specific C++ compiler by setting
-DCMAKE_CXX_COMPILER:FILEPATH=/path/to/cxx_compiler when running cmake.
