I think it would be nice to have solve propagate the result of the solve. At least for Nonlinear problems.
I am not sure might is appropriate for all versions of solve (linear, nonlinear, adaptive) to return, for example a bool. But I think that NonlinearVariationalSolver.solve should at least do that.
