Regarding «  no external libraries », it’s a bit dead : have a look on
htdocs/includes lol.

 

Anyway, I will not continue of that way.

2011 and the project manager position is to just use PHP and no external

I read a lot of things to do for a “4.0” version of Dolibarr. But one thing
could be really good it’s use of a template engine.

 

For a new project I just go deep with twig (http://twig.sensiolabs.org/) ,
it’s quite useful.

 

Main advantage, separate pure php code and html. 

It’s easier to check html syntax or debug php code if both are separate.

 

Use of this technology  will also make template production for Dolibarr
easier.
