Hi all, I'm missing the method createWriter() in XMLWriter? Is this methoh removed? If removed why? I'm asking, because I have to rewrite some sample of docbook if this method is removed. I'm currently writing the mime support classes for dom4j Documents suing Activation API. This API comes with some design flaws. The DataHandler class has some private fields but its defintly a that should be derived by extension. I can't resuse the fields of the super class because the decleared them as private. private will be good in some cases but increase double code in child classes if it used to much. :-( Finally I have to use the PipedReader's and a Thread - I think the New I/O API in upcomming JDK 1.4 will provide a better solution.
