I always found this a bit hard to manage.

Should also allow addAt(int), to allow the random access api to continue

I am also working on support for adding a node where the location of the
node is determined (where possible) using the post schema validation infoset
( derived from the schema). This is current closed source, but I am happy to
open it if the is interest. I got no response to PSVI in previous postings
:(
