Hi Paul, I see the problem, yet I believe that 1.6.1 is quite a stable release of dom4j for those platforms and people that can't run Java 1.5. Additionally dom4j does not seem to be under active development. So would you see a problem in freezing 1.6.1 as a stable branch allowing only for potential bugfixes and start moving HEAD to Java 1.5, which would mean that after a long time some work is put into the project again?
