Creating an input document and result document in memory is not really necessary and potentially expensive, so I think the code I gave you is more efficient but I am not a 100% sure and I don't know how much more efficient it is, I haven't done any performance tests. Dom4j is great in manipulating XML documents programmatically but I would not use it for the task that you are working on. > The transform source isn't using some dom-like internal > rapresentation of the XML ?
