I wonder if you have the wrong namespace URI in your schema document? I've
just added a test case to CVS to explicitly test for XSD documents using the
XSD namespace and it appears to work fine - I don't get the same warning
message. Could you post an example XML and XSD document to the list (or add
them to CVS in xml/schema/*) and we can try create a JUnit test out of them?

AFAIK xsd:string is working at the moment.
