Hi there,

I was just wondering about the licenses for the
various dependencies of dom4j. Is the dom4j
distribution actually in compliance with the various
licenses - I would have expected to see more licensing
files in the lib directories. It was suggested earlier
in the mailing list archives that the Apache license
be included in the build.

Before I recommend dom4j for a project, I want to be
sure that the licenses are all in order.

Looking at some of the links provided on the
Dependencies page, I can see that many of the
libraries are Apache projects - this would suggest
that they have an Apache license right?

I also found the license for jtidy-4aug2000r7-dev.jar
on Sourceforge and it seems quite liberal as well.

But for the following:

msv-20030807.jar
relaxngDatatype-20030807.jar
xpp3-1.1.3.3.jar
xsdlib-20030807.jar

I couldn't find any license information at all on
their respective web sites (Sun and University of
Indiana). Does anyone know what their licenses are?

Also, is the xml-apis-2.0.2.jar file also from Apache?

Thanks,
Andy
