Interesting related story:

Friend owns a company (lets call it Foobar Ltd).
They already owns foobar.co.uk, .biz etc
foobar.com is registered but is parked with a resale company with a price
of $300
My friend thinks "great, lets buy it".
He has emailed the registrant and written to them with an offer of $300
several times and had no response.
Sometimes you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.
