We've made massive changes to the HTML because a) it's scary and hard-to-read as-is and b) it doesn't fit well with our site that way, and we'd really rather not have to go through the whole thing when adding a new TLD, just to be sure there weren't changes in other sections. If we had historical versions we could just diff the two, find the changes, and update our copy appropriately.
