Its a different pricing model. Instead of paying the same for com net org biz and info you are paying the cost price for each (which is actually different for each extension) plus a set fee per domain year. This means that most of the prices should have reduced for most resellers. For people joining Tucows now the prices will be a lot lower than previously for new resellers.
