I believe the new registry correction is a tad more flexible than simply spelling errors. But that is 30GBP per change (not per domain), so if you have only a few domains it is probably quicker and cheaper to transfer the domain (if you can). If there are many domains that require the same change/correction the correction process may be application - only Nominet can say - they make up the rules. I've been trying to persuade Nominet that threatening to suspend a domain because the postman returns a letter as undeliverable probably isn't clever.
