I plan to file a reconsideration request personally under the procedure at: http://www.icann.org/en/committees/reconsideration/ based on some of the arguments I had posted at: http://forum.icann.org/lists/registryservice/ which was an informal (unpublicized) way of submitting comments (the actual proposal did not have a publicized public comment period. I see this as a very dangerous policy as currently worded (the intent might be good, but read the actual words and it's scary), not just for .info registrants, but for registrants of major gTLDs like .com/net who could be threatened by the elimination of due process if VeriSign was to use this as a template (and precedent) for .com. It also is dangeous because it usurps the proper role of the GNSO "bottom up, consensus driven" method of policy formation, replacing it with the worst sort of top-down process. Although, it would be nice if someone on the GNSO Council took the lead in bringing things to the fore: http://gnso.icann.org/mailing-lists/archives/council/ where this issue had no discussion whatsoever. It also had only limited discussion on the GNSO Registrars mailing list: http://gnso.icann.org/mailing-lists/archives/registrars/ Sincerely, George Kirikos http://www.kirikos.com/ _______________________________________________ domains-gen mailing list [email protected] http://discuss.tucows.com/mailman/listinfo/domains-gen
