Hi,

we provide online registration for the common global TLD, and UK via TUCOWS
for our website building application (350.com), through a very simple
in-house registration web page.

We are looking to add additional global TLD and CC domains.

Reading through the notes from TUCOWS on TLD:

These look straight forward:
".name", ".biz", ".us", ".asia", ".dk", ".de", ".es"

These claim various restrictions mostly concerned with people's location:
 ".ca" ".fr" ".it" ".nl"

We want to provide a simple online experience with domain name registration,
and we definitely don't want to be faxing Canada (or other International fax
numbers), or filing paperwork no one ever requests, routinely on the margins
we make on domain names via this system.

What is people's experience with these top level domains in practice? If we
register clear user details, how likely are we to be having to deal with the
registries directly? I've seem various bitter comments about CIRA here in the
past, but nothing on France, Italy or Holland.

We will also be rolling out tools to make the website builder work with third
party domain names, with this change, so we have more scope for other people
handling domain names we don't.

Anyone handling ".au" and ".in" registrations who wants some referrals for
same please contact me (offlist?).

 Simon
