Hello members:
This will be the Fan Club's 3rd Annual Toy Drive, sanctioned by the
Brothers themselves, for the children that will be hospitalized at the
Lucile Salter Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford during the Christmas
holiday. Many of you contributed last year and we are hopeful that you
will be able to participate again this year along with our new members.
Can you imagine what it must be like to be in the hospital at all
especially with a major illness let alone during the holidays? As members
of this club, we are trying to put a little sunshine into the lives of
these children, a small way to support them and their families during a
very stressful time in their lives. Please be as generous as you can.
Your gifts will be recognized with a weekly update via the fan club list.
A database is kept and forwarded at the end of the drive to our club
president, Laurin. The items collected will be delivered Sat. Dec. 18 to
Stanford by Santa'a elves. (If you want to be an elf and help load the
items on and off elf Snyder's sleigh the day of delivery, please contact
me directly.)
Some of the specifics:
1) The list from Stanford is stated below listing many items you might
contribute
2) Please DO NOT wrap your gifts...I will need to see it and so will the
people at Stanford.
3) Your donations should be sent starting now....Oct. 5, 1999 and the
drive will end officially on Dec. 17. If I haven't received your package
by then it will not make it on to Santa's Sleigh for delivery on Dec. 18.
4) My address is:
Chris Passanisi
West San Jose Chapter, DBFC
4550 Grimsby Drive
San Jose CA 95130-2034
5) Please enclose a list of the items you have packed including your name
and address on the packing list. You have no idea how much this helps.
6) If you are giving in someone elses name, please note that with your
list.
Pretty simple!! Just think of the kids...I know you can make this a huge
success. If any of you want to get your neighbors, families, co-workers,
etc. involved...feel free.
Thank you ...and the Brothers thank you.
