Hi Steve;
In response to you question "Little Bitty Pretty One", was recorded way
back In 1957 by Thurston Harris, which went to # 6 & #2 on the pop & R & B
charts respectively. Thurston's only other hit was a R & B song called "Do
what you did" in 1958 charted # 57 & # 14. So he' almost a one-hit wonder.
If you want the song, try Rhino's Billboard Top R& B Hits of 1957, JCI #
3204 Heart & Soul Fifties, RCA #66443 of Corrina, Corrina Original Movie
Soundtrack or EMI # 30882 "The Alladdin Records Story". Oh yeah, Rhino's
#71806 The R &B Box: Thirty years of Rhythm & Blues.
If anyone remembers the song by anyone else, The following have recorded
&/or charted the tune:
2 ) Bobby Day # 57 in 1957
3) Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers #58 in 1960
4) Clyde McPhatter # 25 in 1962
5) Dave Clark 5 n/c in 1965
6) Freddie & the Dreamers n/c in 1965
7) Wayne Cochran n/c in 1968
8) Jackson 5 # 13 & # 8 (R & B's chart)
.... and more recently
9) Huey Lewis & the News n/c in 1994 on their Electra album #61500
"Four Chords & Several Years Ago".

Hope this helps you & any other aficionados out there.
