ALBUM NEWS: "Long Train Runnin', The Doobie Brothers 1970 - 2000" box set
has been released, and I believe, as of this past Tuesday, is now available
worldwide. The 4 CD set contains a 3 disc historical retrospective of
previously released Doobie Brothers music, from "The Doobie Brothers"
through "Brotherhood". A track from the yet to be released and yet untitled
Doobie Brothers CD also appears on this set...

Disc 4 ("Abandoned Tracks (Demos & Roughs)") contains previously unreleased
material including demo versions of "Daughters of the Sea", "Long Train
Runnin'" ("Osborne"), "Sweet Maxine" ("Argentine Grape"), "Double Dealing
Four Flusher" ("Shuffle"), and "Takin' It to the Streets".

Also included in the box set is an 80 page booklet tracing (with words and
pictures) the Doobie Brothers history through the present. "Long Train
Runnin'" can be found at your favorite CD stores and through many on-line CD
retailers.

ON AIR NEWS: Next Wednesday evening (November 3) the Doobie Brothers are
scheduled to appear on the rock radio program "Rockline", hosted by Bob
Coburn. "Rockline" airs on Wednesday evening at 1130pm Eastern (New York) &
830pm Pacific (Los Angeles). To see a list of "Rockline" affiliates around
the world, check the following website:

http://drchuck.net/rockline/ <http://drchuck.net/rockline/>

Unfortunately, not all markets have "Rockline" affiliates, and some of these
are MAJOR markets. The US markets listed below currently do not have
Rockline affiliates:
Phoenix
Denver
Atlanta
San Francisco
Dallas
Salt Lake City
Pittsburgh
Panama City, FL

However, it will still be possible to access "Rockline" from around the
world through affiliate stations that utilize either the Real Player or
Media Player programs.

PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, it is very possible that your local affiliate
may not actually carry the live Doobie Brothers program. The Monday,
November 1 program with David Bowie is the 1,000th "Rockline" program and
many affiliates may chose to repeat the 1,000th program during the Wednesday
night broadcast as well. Please check with your local affiliate to see if
they well be airing the Doobie Brothers program. Please call your local
affiliate and PLEAD with them to broadcast the Doobie Brothers broadcast.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

The Doobie Brothers have donated a few autographed drumheads to the Fan Club
to sell for charity. In the very near future, we will let everyone know how
they can purchase one of these drumheads to benefit the NVF...

The NVF (National Veterans Foundation), a charity very dear to the Doobie
Brothers, is currently in a very dire financial condition at this time. If
you can afford to help, please feel free to send a contribution to the NVF
at:

As always, as new Doobie Brothers news is available, we'll be in touch!
Thanks!
