I just received my copy of the Doobies '82 farewell
tourbook. I was high bidder on eBay. It's a great book. I'm
sure most of you have yours. I, on the other hand, had a chance to see
them on that tour at the Byrne Area and opted instead to go to a world all-stars
soccer game at Giants' Stadium (it was televised) the same night. I've
regretted missing that concert ever since (one reason why I never miss them
these days)! Anyway, at least now I have a memento of that tour. I
guess most of you folks were not happy to see them break up. Do you
remember the scene in "Romancing the Stone" where Michael Douglas voices his
disgust at the breakup of the Doobies? That scene hit home for
me.
Looking forward to The Sands.
