Hello ,
Cher's recent attempts at singing Doobies' songs apparently
are an ongoing, decades long crusade.
I vividly remember a mid-1970's episode of the Sonny and Cher
program where
the duo tried to sing Long Train and absolutely butchered the tune. A
little kid not yet fully initiated into the Doobie fold at the time
but knowing the Doobs rather than Sonny and Cher wrote the song, I
thought to myself, "The guys in that band probably are not happy right
now", quickly turned off the antenna t.v. , then ran out of the
house FAST !
After 25 years you'd think she'd learn.
Cher covering the Doobs is not pleasant and scares little kids.
