On a side note, speaking of "Still Feels Good" I have a tape of Tommy
performing at a place called The Country Club in LA. Three songs from that
album. Madman, Wastin' Time, and Up On The Stage. It was taken off the radio
from King Biscuit. Anyone else have it?
Later,
Steve

Well, since this chain seems to be progressing up the South Bay, from
SJ,
to Los Gatos to Mt View, I guess I'll move it up one notch to Palo Alto -- I
graduated from Gunn in 1976 (before the town was overrun by Silicon Valley
Yuppies!!!).
Yes, the South Bay was great for Doobies shows... when TJ went solo,
there was a Summer or two there where he was playing a lot in the South Bay
Area. Tiran was playing in a local club band just for fun -- he was playing
guitar(!) The band was called Glide, and they played all over the South and
East bay. Another notable thing -- Dave Shogren's band, SF Star, played at
one of my High School dances! They did a lot of Doobies songs -- including
Nobody!
Oh yeah -- Tiran's band Glide opened for TJ once at the Keystone Palo
Alto. At the end of the show he joined TJ for a couple Doobies tunes... this
was during the "Still Feels Good" ara. The place was packed (and it was a
huge place).
