When I was in 9th grade I was a cheerleader. The cheerleaders traveled to all the away games with the boys basketball and football teams. We would play "Black Water" from the minute we stepped on to the bus until the minute we stepped off, both to and from the games. Each group of players and cheerleaders sang a different part. As soon as the song ended on one tape player we had another one ready to go while the first one rewound so we didn't have to waist any time starting the song over again. I can't begin to count how many times I heard that song that year. I had liked "Jesus is Just all right" and "China Grove" from the early 70's but Black Water was the song that hooked me. To this day every time I hear it I think of the fun we had on those bus rides. Andrea from PA In the early 70's I went to my first Doobie Concert in Philadelphia at the Spect Room. I was a goner from that moment on. Since then I have had to have every album and go to every show when ever the Doobs are in or near PA. Joe from PA
