This is another bootleg release of the infamous "Pickwick" recordings.� The
songs on this "CD" were demo tracks the band recorded but were never
intended for release.� Unfortunately, a fairly unscroupulous figure from the
Doobies' past had possession of the original tapes and was actually able to
work out a deal with Pickwick records to release the album in the late
70s/early 80s.� Naturally, the band fought the release of the album and
won.� However, that hasn't kept the tapes from making their way through the
bootlet system.

Several songs like "Crud Hunchery" were not on the original Pickwick
release.� You can find several different versions of the CD floating
around.� I saw 2 seperate versions in the Tower Records Picadilly Circus in
London a few years back.� One cover featured a shot taken from the "Minute
by Minute" photo shoot, the other a live performance shot from the 77-79
era.�

This is a bootleg CD, so the Doobies do not make any money off sales of the
discs.

Out of curiosity, I purchased a Doobies import CD named "Excitement", on
eBay.� I'm enjoying it as I write this.� One tune titled "I'll Keep On
Givin'" sounds just like "Another Park, Another Sunday" with different
words.� Another tune, "Bluejay", which is on the box set, Disc 4 of
Abandoned Tracks, is on it also.� On the cover is a photo of John Hartman,
Jeff, Michael, Keith, Pat, & Tiran but all the songs are written by Tom or
Pat.� Does anybody out there know when this stuff was recorded and who was
in the band then.� I'm guessing that it is all from before 1970.� It's not
as polished, but some of the stuff is pretty good.� I'd appreciate some help
if anyone out there can.
