As
everyone familiar with the fan club is aware, Marti Rabon is an avid
Doobie
Brothers fan and has been very active in the Fan Club since day one.
Each
month Marti voluntarily gathers the names and birthdays of fan club
members
and posts them to the list. She also has twice teamed up with Marla
to
offer fan club members the opportunity to purchase those wonderful fan
club
jackets.
Yes she is an asset to the club
and all us members!
I am deeply saddened to say that Marti is currently very, very
ill. Early
this morning, Marti suffered a heart attack and is
hospitalized in St.
Louis.
I just cannot beleive it! It was only a few weeks ago that I shared her company along with Marla here in London. This is terriblely sad news. My heart goes out to her and her family in these hours of need and we hope and pray that she has a speedy recovery.
She is conscious and alert (although very, very
uncomfortable). That is all
of the information that I currently have on
her condition, however, as more
information becomes available we will pass it
along to everyone.

We cannot report at this time which hospital she is a patient,
however, as
her condition improves, we may be allowed to pass that
information along so
that you may send your best wishes
directly.
That is fully understandable in a situation like this. But when you are able to do so my family will arrange to send a card and some floral treats, all being well.
Please keep Marti and her family in your prayers and wish
her a speedy
recovery.
Our thoughts and prayers

PS - as everyone is aware, Marla and Marti are
tremendous friends, so, Marla
is taking this news very, very hard.
We're asking everyone to please keep
Marla's grief in mind and not barrage
her with e mails regarding Marti's
condition. If/when new news becomes
available, we'll pass it along ASAP.
