after Madona bailed out of the Super Bowl halftime show, producers did
the only logical thing (the paper's words) and booked THE DOOBIE
BROTHERS !!!
"When Madona bailed out of the half-time festivities at Sunday's Super
Bowl, organizers were left to wonder: Who could we possibly get to
replace her? After a long and painful search, they settled on the most
logical choice: '70s rockers The Doobie Brothers, who are attempting yet
another comeback comeback on Pyramid records."
