Would the general population favor a convention? SARATOGA 2000? Three
Doobie Brothers shows are scheduled for the beautiful Mountain Winery on
August 23, 24, & 25 (WE, TH, & FR).
Yes or No would be appreciated.
Setting up a convention and reduced rate rooms at the Los Gatos lodge would
be a great deal simpler this year given that we now have history with the
hotel. We also have established connections with the box office at
Montalvo, so, that should be a great deal easier as well (plus a few well
placed individuals). Likely, the convention itself would be scheduled for
Friday afternoon, August 25 to accommodate as many fans as possible.
Saratoga sits about 45 miles south of the San Francisco airport (easy
international access).
What does everybody say? We're open to ideas, too...bring 'em on.
