The Doobie Brothers Fan Club will celebrate the Doobies 30th anniversary with SARATOGA 2000 - A CELEBRATION to be held in conjunction with the Doobies 3 night stand at the beautiful Montalvo Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA (August 23-25, 2000). Doobie Brothers fans from around the world are invited to come to Saratoga to attend this once in a lifetime gathering of Doobie Brothers fans. Similar Fan Club events have been held in the past, however, none will compare as we celebrate 30 years of Doobie Brothers music. Please pay attention to this message because everyone will need to act quickly: We are still gathering information regarding tickets and prices for each night and we hope to have all of this information by this afternoon (3/6/00). Unfortunately, there will be a very small window of opportunity for you to register at the SARATOGA 2000 web site and send in money to be included in the Fan Club block purchase of tickets. We were told this past weekend that tickets to members of Montalvo will go on sale March 23 (17 days) and general public tickets will go on sale April 4. In the past, the Fan Club has been allowed to purchase a single block of tickets prior to general public ticket sales. This year, Montalvo member & Doobie Brothers Fan Club member Chris Snyder has agreed to handle the Fan Club Block purchase. Once you have registered at the SARATOGA 2000 web site, which I hope will be up and running by Wednesday, you will receive an e mail from Chris instructing you where to send payment for your tickets and the per person registration fee (US $ only, check or money order payable to Chris Snyder). PLEASE SEND IN YOUR PAYMENT ASAP SO THAT YOU WILL BE INCLUDED IN OUR BLOCK TICKET PURCHASE!!! Also, WE CAN ONLY PURCHASE TICKETS THAT HAVE BEEN PAID FOR IN ADVANCE!!! If you can not make the Fan Club block purchase, you will have to wait until the tickets go on sale on April 4th and contact Montalvo directly. Chances are, the shows will be sold out by April 4. Please understand that as stated above, the Montalvo Mountain Winery is a member supported facility and we can only promise to purchase the best available seating. The facility is very intimate, holding only 1400 or so...there IS NOT a bad seat in the house. This is going to be an incredible event...and your chance to meet the Doobie Brothers. The Los Gatos Lodge in Los Gatos, CA will serve as the convention headquarters. At the SARATOGA 2000 website, Fan Club members will be instructed how to reserve reduced rate rooms at the Lodge. Events to be held at the Lodge include: WE August 23, 2000 - 4-6pm - An informal gathering of fans on the deck outside the Lodge. FC member can pick up their tickets for the concerts at this gathering. TH August 24, 2000 - 4-7pm - "The Doobie Brothers Fan Club Social and Meet & Greet" - All fans attending SARATOGA 2000 are invited to attend this warm gathering of friends. You will meet Doobie Brothers fans from all around the world...and who knows what other surprises may await... FR August 25, 2000 - 30 YEARS AND STILL ROCKIN' DOWN THE HIGHWAY!!! - The Doobie Brothers 30th Anniversary Convention & Celebration!!! 2-6pm in the El Gato Room at the Los Gatos Lodge. Music, videos, memorabilia, buy, sell, trade, auctions, fans...and very likely, the Doobie Brothers themselves. This is an event that you will not want to miss.... A great deal more detailed information to follow regarding the actual events themselves. YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME!!! JUST REMEMBER: To be part of the Doobie Brothers Fan Club Block Ticket Purchase, you will need to act quickly when we get the registration website up and running. All payments must be made in US $ and payable to Chris Snyder. At this time we expect that tickets will be in the $45-50 range...per person registration to the Fan Club convention is $20...you must register for the convention to be part of the ticket purchase.
