Scott,
Syd Scott here!
Sorry to hear of your demise. When I left my hometown of
Liverpool to come to York, my possessions were held in storage while I looked
for a house. Guess what? the storage warehouse containing (amongst other things)
600 vinyl Lps and 150 7" singles burnt down. However, I couldn't bear to
leave my Doobies & associated solos etc, so I took them with me to the
rented house - spooky or what?
Keep your chin up!
Syd
It is a sad day for my album collection today.
I keep my albums in my garage for now until I can put my studio back
together. I went out to take the trash out and noticed a small stream of
water flowing out the garage door. I go in and see the washing machine has
leaked out onto the floor, going down the side wall where my albums are. I
dig down to them and find the bottom box totally soaked. Of course this is
the box containing groups A through L, meaning all Doobies are there. Not
only are they wet, but molded too! So apparently it's been going on for
quite some time un-beknownst to me. :-(
The jackets are ruined, but does anyone know
the best way to get mold off the discs? They're worth saving 'cause I've
kept them in perfect condition. I can always get replacement jackets from
eBay, but the discs are scratch free. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
I've got those Rainy Day Crossroad
Blues,
Scott
