I figured it was about time for more levity. Steve Wice, your story was so
convincing that I felt both jealousy and joy welling up inside me before I
could even finish reading it! It sounded more real than my Pat phone call
story!
For those of us who "walk the walk and talk the talk", here goes:
Doobmobile- a Harley motorcycle
St. Patrick's Day-- a day for doobsters to worship Pat Simmons.
Doobious--term used to describe the skepticism felt when some band tries to
use the Doobie Bros.' name.
Dooberty- the stage of life in which a fan makes the transition from just
liking the Doobs to becoming a full-fledged fanatic.
Doobified--what one becomes at a meet and greet. May be characterized by
drooling, forgetting name and incoherency.
China Grove--a place where Doobie Brothers fans who are getting married do
their bridal registry.
Doobie-do--a man's hairstyle in which the man's hair is worn long past waist
level.
