Hello Everyone
I'm fairly new to this list (would have joined sooner if I had known it
existed) and thought
I'd pass on my thoughts from the Doobie concert I just saw.
Pat Simmons and his wife helped put on a benefit concert for Seabury
Hall and Haiku schools on Maui.
When I found out about it, I immediately called the box office at the
Maui Arts and Cultural Center and scored two tickets in the center
section, 7th row. I took off early from work that
day and my wife and I flew over from Honolulu for the concert.
It was fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They played for almost 2 hours, all the good stuff plus one of the songs
off their new album
which is supposed to be out sometime this year.
The venue, which was SRO by the way, let them put on an exciting and
intimate show.
Everybody had a good time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, after the concert, we went to a party with the guys and Pat's and
John Mc's wives.
Two very cool ladies by the way.
On the second encore Chris even got on stage and sang with Pat and the
band.
Maui is like they say "Maui, No Ka Oi", and having one of the Doobie's
living there
makes it even better.
