Old Acquaintence of Pat's

Hi Everyone,   It's been a while since I last posted, but I had a pleasant surprise tonight. As I was paying my account at the doctor's surgery after my appointment, my neighbour Bob (who lives in the next street) came in for an appointment. I had never really got to know him well - we just say "Hi" as we pass in the street or at the shopping centre, but my parents said that he was from the Bay Area, and migrated to Australia in 1972.  So I introduced him to my wife, who was with me and is also from the Bay Area, and we got chatting, and the conversation inevitably lead to the Doobie Brothers. Bob said that he knew Pat a long time ago through a mutual friend who attended Los Gatos High School (wish I could remember the guy's name), and proceeded to tell us what a great guy Pat was then - he was not at all surprised when I told him that Pat is still a great guy. Bob is 54, so he is a little older than Pat, and said that so many years had passed since they were acquainted, and that Pat had met so many people in his life, that Pat probably wouldn't remember him. So Pat, if you are reading this, Bob Olson said to say "Hi", if you do happen to remember him. That's all - just thought this was worth reporting to the list.
