Hi everyone,
I am posting just to say how happy I am to be in the part of California where the
Doobie Brothers got their start: San Jose.
I spent Saturday night in Santa Cruz after driving up the PCH from Ventura What a
drive! Then drove over Loma Prieta on Highway 17 yesterday with a stop by Saratoga and
Los Gatos. After arriving in San Jose, I took a spin down 12th street and then over to
the student union at San Jose State to see the "What Were Once Vices..." mural.
To top it all off, KFOX the local classic rock station was doing three-fers yesterday
and I caught two Doobie three-fers during the course of the day.
It is great to be in Doobie land once again and only wish I was going to be here in a
few months when the convention is happening, but better to be here again now rather
than not at all.
