Hey Everyone!
What a PERFECT weekend! That word, (PERFECT) seems to be the word I've used
to describe the newest Doobie Adventure. As with any 'planned' event, a few
unexpected turns happened, some good, some bad....but the scales tipped
heavily in the right direction. YAHOOOOOO!!!!

We tried to start out with dinner together, My Doobie family and I, but
that wasn't one of the things that happened. So it was a bite of room service
and then we hauled ass and got ready for the first show.
We all congregated at the 'Theatre' in the Orleans, where I was able to get
the squeezes from everyone, including our Auzzie bud and our our Ambsterdam
bud. The air was thick with anticipation, then the roar of the Harley brought
everyone to their feet. The band, as always....knocked our socks off! (my
socks were in the room by themselves...so that was quite a feat!!!)
There wasn't a sweat-free soul left after the show! Okay now on to the
guys....

TJ was stoked! He was screaming at everyone to "Get Up" right from the
get-go, and it didn't take much coaxing, since most of us were already there!
Ha!!! He looked incredible. Healthy, happy and having a blast.
John.....with his hair just past his shoulders and looking very fit, never
missed a lick on any of our favorite tunes and danced his boots soleless, I
swear!
Big Mike....looked GREAT! He's lost a few pounds. Guess that's what happens
when you you work your guts out pounding on those drums like he did.
Incredible job!!!
Keith, always the consumate professional too. He looked fabulous also! And
of course he is always so generous with his hordes of drumsticks after the
show...one of which I noticed was split and broken.
Skylark...I'll bet he loses 5 pounds a show! You'd have to physically tie
him down to keep him from workin' the stage floors. He probably decided to
become hairless, just for a little additional speed! Ha...
Guy.... he put on quite the show also! He never sat down once during the
friday show. He just pounded the keyboards and danced and sang and looked
like he was having an absolute blast, just like the rest of us!
Mark....I think we all need to chip in and buy this man some steel
toed/reinforced sneakers. He had that sax beggin' for mercy when he was
finished! Excellent....
Pat.... with his healthy (almost) waist length hair and his physodillic
shoes, had all the women AND men squealing! He was in perfect pitch as always
and he too was having a blast.

Perfection, I am tellin' ya. The shows were 90+ minutes of energy,
eminating from the band and the crowd. They gave to us and we in turn kicked
right back at them. And of course, the kids always add that sweetness to
'Listen To The Music' for the finale. One thing that added a little
preciousness.....Pat Jr., walked out to the edge of the stage and handed
Doobster a gitaur pick!

Prior to the shows and for a few minutes afterwards, it was also a treat to
get to visit with the women that stand beside these men. Kate Knudsen and
Cris Simmons were the only two wives I personally got to speak with...but I
saw Marcy McFee and DeeDee Allison too. Seeing the wives and the children
with the guys, is so refreshing and to me it shows just how grounded they all
are. The shows are like a little diversion in their otherwise normal lives. I
love them all!!!!!

Besides the show and those of you that don't want to read on....please feel
free to delete at this time.....A few of us went out to Lake Mead and played
on the water. I'd like to thank Rick and Lori Seamans for bringing the boat
and that UN-Fricking-Believably fun Sea Biscuit! I can't water ski
anymore...I'm too fat and too chicken, but that sea biscuit being pulled
behind the boat, was an absolute blast!!!!! Chris Snyder, Lori and I each
only got thrown once! My arms were killing me Monday...but man that was
invigorating! It was so beautiful out there and the company didn't suck
either! hehehehe
Then after our day of play on the water, we had the final show. Unbeknownst
to us, the band was doing a promotional video so it was being recorded, and
we had to be careful of the boom mike/camera when we jumped up! The band was
soooo tight (no shock there) and horsed around some and pulled funny faces
(mostly Tommy) when the camera would would hone in on them. Most of you know
that Pat likes to hit the crowd while jammin and with alot of effort he got
off that high stage and did just that. We hadn't expected for him to come
RUNNING RIGHT US, and threw himself on the lap of none other than Miss Lady
Nancy! He sat there never missing a beat, and said hello to Nancy, turned and
looked at me over his shoulder and said 'Hi Holly' and also got in a few
words to Doobster too! It was funnnnnnnnny! I had said it was a good thing he
didn't land on my lap or he would have kept on sliding since I was wearing
satin....hehehehe! Fun, Fun, Fun!

Being the Girl Scout that I am....I went prepared. I told everyone to bring
their videos and music or any other memrobilia that they wanted to share. I
rented a VCR and it was my carry on. We partied in the room every night
before and after the shows and watched home movies and listened to the MUSIC.
We also got a new family member a.k.a. Miss Lisa, who is the future Mrs.
Chris Snyder. What a gem she is. Welcome to the family, Lisa.
Miss Gina, also brought home made crafts (Doobie related) and freshly baked
cookies....along with BUBBLE NECKLACES for the concert. I can't say to much
about Mike Dorman, since I didn't get to see much of him during the shows
other than he can DANCE, but he was a hell of a nice guy too.

One sad note and whether it's my place or not....I am telling you all this
with love, and I hope that I do it properly and tastefully.
Our Sunday morning started out very badly. Nick and Kat Wride got a 4 a.m.
wake up call, that his Mother was failing fast and that they needed to get
home quickly. They packed up and had to drive a good 6 hours to get to her.
Thank God (or whomever your higher power is) they made it in time. Nick's
Mother passed away, knowing that her Son had come to send her off. My heart,
love and prayers go to Nick, Kat and the family, that are all profounding
touched by his Mothers passing. From the moment we got the news, the entire
day was dedicated to seeing to it that it was filled with enjoyment and
pleasure in their Honor.
I am sure that Nick and Kat are aware that we all love and care for
them....but PLEASE, don't overwelm them at this time, with calls and emails.
Nick still has alot of matters to attend to.

And then on a final note, there has to be the thanks and LOVE given not
only to our gracious hosts (the Doobies) but also to our Big Brother
Doobster. Peter.....Thank you so much for all that you did to make this
weekend so perfect for all of us. To have you standing beside us and having
that glow on your face, reflected and fed all of us to the overflow point.
For those of you that don't know this....Mr. Dubin, not only put us all in
the first and second rows, but he also through his generousity, picked up the
expense of ALL 16 of our tickets, for all 3 nights. This was done from his
heart and his personal thank you's will be forthcoming, from me and Lady
Nancy. PERFECTION...that's the theme of the weekend. This one will be damn
hard (near impossible) to top!

Okay my novel is complete.....for now! I have Lady Nancy with me here in
Utah until Friday, so we are far from done partying Doobie style. The
pictures are already in our hands and copies will be made very shortly and
posted on the SNAP website, which we will alert the list too as soon as they
are up. (give us a day or so.....)

Peace and love to all that were there, and to those of you that couldn't
join us this time around. Most of you have Saratoga coming up.....get ready,
and I mean REALLY ready, cuz you are going to be soul thumped!!!!!

       Holly J & Lady Nancy =)
