I'm looking forward to Saturday's show here in Biloxi, MS.
I've met the Doobies a number of times and they have always been gracious
people. My wife told me after meeting them in New Orleans a couple of years
ago that you respect and like them because of the music. Finding out their
such good people is an added bonus.
Having shot a number of "rock stars" in concert for my local paper, that
isn't always the case. It is nice to know that the Doobies are not only great
musicians but good people too.
I don't know if we will get to meet the guys this Saturday or not. My son is
going in a Doobie Brother t-shirt that I wore when I was his age back in the
' 70s. I told the woman at the ticket booth that he is named after Pat
Simmons so she got him as close to the stage as possible. He is really
looking forward to the show. He met Patrick in New Orleans. I have to kid my
Pat because he fell asleep during the show. He promises to be wide awake
Saturday.
I would love to say hello all the guys again but seeing the show is fine with
me.
