I'd hardly say you're always late...YOU showed us the link to the Pyramid
site and the new release!
New Doobies on the radio!!! I just hope they give them the air play they
deserve. I remember when Cycles came out. They played "The Doctor" for a few
months. Once in a while you heard "Need a Little Taste of Love", but that
was it. Yet if Clapton, Santana, or some other legend puts out something
new, they play it 'till it's etched into you brain.
And speaking of oldies, I still think it's pretty cool to be shopping at the
grocery store and having a Doobies tune play over the sound system. I've
been caught many times playing "air piano" on the shopping cart to "Keep
This Train a Rollin'"! It does bring on some strange looks. That's when I
just look at them start singing it too!
I do sympathize with you listening to the newer artists. But if the shock
ever becomes too much to bear, just heed your own advice...
"If at first you don't succeed, plug in a Doobie Brothers CD and try, try,
again!"
