Well, I thought my life was complete after seeing and meeting some of the
Doobies on Friday at the convention. I got autographs, pictures - the whole
nine yards. I was in absolute heaven! Such a good time - the fan club
members are an awwwwsome group of folks. I went alone to the convention and
the show but I did not stay that way - it's like a big family and I was
included. The meet and greet afterwards - what can I say - too cool.
Now - it's Sunday and I just got home from the California State Fair and
seeing another Doobie Bros. show. This show was special - I took my neice
who turned 21 this year and a friend of hers who also turned 21 this year.
They weren't really big Doobie fans before the show. I think I can honestly
say they are now!!!

The Doobies rocked Sacramento - I don't think it will ever be the same.
Not only that but ---there is always a but --- I got a pick that Pat threw
into the audience. I did have to snatch it off of the foot of the man it
landed on but I HAVE IT IN MY POSSESSION!!! I don't think the man knew what
was happening but I sure did. He just looked down at his foot then I
swooped.

OK - I'll calm down now. Did I mention two shows in one weekend - I am so
UP! And after the show we went out and watched the fireworks. Good show but
not as good as the Doobies of course. Then, I get to my car and the Arrow is
playing a 7 song super set of the Doobies. My car's top went down and the
music went way up and us three girls cruised out of the parking lot singing
at the top of our lungs. What was left of them after singing through the
concert that is.

I have to go to bed now - this is just too much excitment for this old gal.
But hey, that is what is keeping me young at heart - the music!
