Well, I got to go see the Doobies after all. Yeah, I had a mountain of work,
and on one hand shouldn't have. But after finding out one of my all time fav
songs is on the setlist -- I ain't tellin' what it is -- I just had to go.
Simple as that. (Thanks to all who supplied me setlist info).

OK. It was in Salem, Oregon, about 1 hour south of Portland. No opener. Just
the Doobies. Barely got to my seat in time to hear that now-familiar Harley
roar. The place was filled about 2/3 of the way. VERY enthusiastic crowd.
Excellent response for the new tunes. Everybody was on their feet from Black
Water onward (sound familiar?) They did an awesome rendition of my favorite
Doobie song. However the crowd, for the most part, obviously did not
recognize it. It got a good response, though. Thank you so much Doobies for
including it.

Perhaps coolest of all -- it's wonderful to see that the Doobies are truly
enjoying themselves. No hint of "oldies band trotting out their warhorse
hits". They were fresh, fun, and the audience couldn't get enough of them.
Great to see nearly everybody dancing the last 1/3 of their set.

OK... back to blasting "People Gotta Love Again" for the umpteen millionth
time!
