When I was a mere child of 16 the Doobie Brothers were bigger than life, to me. Seeing them in concert all those years ago in the 70's was always a thrill and I made a point to catch a show whenever I could. Some of my freinds and family thought I was goofy to be so into this.
Now that I'm much older and hopefully a little wiser I realize that "bigger than life" was naive and probably "goofy" as my people imagined. However, the one thing that has not changed. From the first time I heard LTTM I knew I was a fan for life. The lyrics and music always made me think that these guys must be nice people. Saratoga confirmed this notion for me as it was the first time I have ever spent any time with the guys and other fans who may share my opinion of The Doobie Brothers. I have mentioned to a good friend I just want to be a Doobie fan in all this and if I meet nice people along the way who share the same idea, great. If not, well tough stuff.
With that, I just want to say that "The Doobie Brothers.......ARE THE BEST!"
