Dear Fellow Doobs: I'm sort of new to the list (first of summer), but of course not new to being a fan of the best band in the World. I've been in the background doing a lot of reading of mail, but not much posting yet. So here goes. I was able to get my tickets to the Atlanta show about 3 weeks ago, and am just about to bust. The concert is on the 6th, 3 days after the release of the new CD. My husband says I'll know all the words by the concert! (He's right, of course.) Also, just a week before my birthday. What a great gift this is. This will be the first time since 89 I've seen the Bros. because of major life-changing events that I had no control over (the birth of a very sick child, and the death of my first spouse), and now that I have the semblence of a normal life again, I'm celebrating with the Doobies. What's really exciting is that my husband now has never been to a rock 'n roll concert of any kind. (He has led a very sheltered life!) So I'll be able to introduce him to something very near and dear to my heart, too. We'll also be meeting another couple from the club who will be going with us. So on Saturday evening, October 7th, I'll get back to you and let you know just what a glorious evening we've all had, and how wonderful the concert was!
