Howdy folks!
Well, I was just hanging around my den, watching the Olympics on T.V.,
and they were doing a piece on this particular basketball player who is
on the US team...I was paying attention, (I remember that, cause I don't
usually watch this stuff!), and they are showing this kid as a teenager
busting his butt, working out....and all of a sudden it hit me....the
background music.......I know that!!!.......it was the start of "China
Grove".....they played almost the whole tune, as they talked about this
guy from "a little town down around San Antone"!!!!! I'm screaming at
my poor 79 yr old .deaf Mother who was quietly sitting in her corner
watching also, "That's the Doobie Brothers!!!!!!!!" I must have broke
the sound barrier, cause she straightened right up, and said "Where are
they?????" Due to her poor hearing, I told her, "Nevermind", but I had
a nice "Doobie Moment". And totally unexpected at that!!!!
We never know when or how, but our guys pop up when we least expect it,
in the strangest of places!!!!! Rock on, and have a great day!!
