This has been a great Doobie posting day and since we are on the subject I would like to take pause to recognize someone who rarely if ever gets mentioned on this list who should since he is, if you will, The Doobie's "Peter Grant" (Led Zeppelin) only probably a nicer human being. He is the man who seems to have been the glue, keeps the business on track then, now, and when the band was not doing much in the eighties as The Doobie Brothers. He probably keeps everybody one their toes, I could only imagine.

Kudos to Bruce Cohn for his work with the Doobies. I do not know much about the man other than he manages the best band in the world and makes a helluva fine wine. I wonder what show biz life would be like for the guys had someone else looking after the biz?

Doobies Rule,

Subject: Happy Doobie Day!

Well Lord have mercy, we sure do have lots of Doobious things to celebrate!

Pat and Cris, hope you get to spend the day together, and wish you all the best, and many more years of happiness together.

And congrats to Guy and Dee.  I bet he thought he wasn't ready, and I also bet the little one has Daddy wrapped around his finger already.  Love the picture on the News page by the way.  It'll be easy to remember his birthday, cause it's the same as a certain crazy Doobies fan who shall remain nameless.

And Big Mike - I thought your birthday was in October.  Umm Umm Umm, gotta fix that calendar.  You have yourself a fabulous day.  I'll have to dig out a couple good stogies and bring 'em down to Atlanta for ya.

And Nick!  Happy birthday my man.  I'm only 42 so I ain't gonna talk about 50 bein' no big deal, but, I figure since you got good Doobie tunes keepin' the heart and soul goin', it can't be but so bad.
