Doobiefans, This CD is excellent, great, and many other superlatives! The dissenting opinions expressed by some DBFC members not withstanding, I think this is a quality effort by the Doobs...and I'm a real fan of "Slow Burn" and "Little Bitty..."! I agree that this CD will grow on us all and I also hope it gets the air play it deserves! Maybe there's a bit less rockin' here but lets remember a basic reality..."Cycles" & "Brotherhood" were not big sellers and the latter was not well received by the critics. I think that will not be the case with SR. I hope none of them pulls out the "derivative" comment. To me Keith's vocals have only added to the uniqueness this collection. A little Don Henley influence won't hurt either. There are some very good tunes here, of different styles, and some excellent musicianship. Right now, "Jericho", "On Every Corner", & "Rocking Horse" are probably my favorites, but I'm finding that my opinion changes as I listen to each track. "Five Corners" is an instrumental masterpice, of course! Well, I'll leave you all to enjoy (Andy, you too).
