Dear Memmbers....Those of you have participated in the Fan Club Toy Drive already know that as members of this club one of our functions is to collect toys, etc. for the children who will be hospitalized at Lucile Salter Childrens' Hospital at Stanford, California, during the Winter holidays. These items are then mailed to me at my home and will then be delivered mid-December to the hospital's Recreational Therapy/Child Life department for distribution. I have just spoken with Lisa Karpanty, Fundraising Coordinator for said dept. and set a date of Dec. 16 for delivery. Also, for those of you who would like to make a monetary donation, please make your check out to L. Salter Packard Children's Hospital/ Recreation Therapy - Child Life (I know it's long...) and also send that to me. The Federal Id. # for the hospital is 77-0003859 for tax purposes. A new "Wish List" which I have requested will be forwarded to you as soon as I receive it. I will get into the why we do this activity with the next message and the listing of items the Rec.
