Been listenin' to SR all morning, and something finally dawned on me about Rocking Horse.  The chorus, which consists of four repetitions of "Rockin' Horse" is actually kind of in two halves.  The first two times, the feeling is sort of like you're holding up from the pace of the verse, and then the second, even though it's the same words, starts to drive again.  And it all seems to be accomplished by modifying the bass line and percussion.  I never really realized just how much effect these two things can have on the whole sound and feel of a song.  These guys are just awesome masters of the fine details.

For those of you with tickets in your pockets, a fun thing to watch for on RH is when Pat, TJ, and John all step forward together to switch their effects pedals between the clean and crunch setups.
