Saw the Regis show this morning.  It was great.  The Doobs were the "house" 
band doing intros & outros to the commercials.  The boys did a TV edit 
version of "People" that was just 2:35 (I timed it later).  Don't be 
offended, though, because all the bands I've seen on this show do sub-three 
minute songs.  Oh well....it better than nothing.
