Toy Drive Update 11/26/00....here is the latest regarding donations for
the toy drive.....starting with.....
Jeff Granato, Vineland NJ: 1 item Jeff states he is a new member to the
club and a long time fan of the Doobies. Thank you for the check Jeff.
It is a thoughtful donation showing your willingness to participate in a
most important cause.
Glenn and Pat Brucker, Floissant MO: 31 items. 10 WheelForce die cast
metal 5 pk sport cars; 6 childrens� card games including fish, Old Maid,
Crazy Eights, a mix and ABC�s; 10 rag dolls; 5 Fashion Dolls.
Then here comes box two from the Bruckers: 83 items. 5 WheelForce die
cast metal 5 pks. sport cars; 4 Fashion Dolls; 9 twenty-four count
crayons; 16 twenty four piece mini puzzles; 2 Discovery Channel sticker
collections; 5 Yo Yo�s; 10 Bookmarks and theme pins; 7 beanie animals; 5
rag dolls
Thank you Pat and Glenn for you outstanding participation again this year.
The children at Stanford are certainly lucky to have you remembering them
in their time of need.
Leilani Carrara, San Jose CA: 8 items. 1 white tiger backpack; 2 Mc
Donald's mini beanie babies; 5 regular size beanie babies. Thank you
Leilani for making sure the kids have something to keep them company while
staying at Stanford this Christmas.
Sherry Powell, Farmingdale, NY: 10 items. 10 Starting Lineup Pro Action
figures.The young boys are going to love these action figures. Thank you
for your 3rd box of toys for the kids Sherry. You are outstanding!!
Art Woodward, Evansville IN: 18 items. 3 Disney hand puppets; 1 stuffed
football (perfect for tossing around the hospital); 10 assorted stuffed
animals; 4 beanie toys.
Thanks for all the great toys for the children. Picture the smiling faces
you will have cast by your donation.
Gina Dorman, Katy TX: 3 items. .1 �Hippy Hemp� Flower Power beaded
necklace kit; 1 Metallic �Silly Putty�; 1 Pastime stickers and stuff
activity set. Thank you Gina and Dorman Family for your latest donation
to the toy drive. (The silvery stars/wishes were a cute addition..only
spilled two on the floor..HA!)
Debbie Beck, Woodland CA: 20 items. 2 large stuffed holiday bears; 9 small
stuffed animals, 6 beanie bag animals; 1 �Fairy Secrets� book; 1 redwood
puzzle; 1 hand puppet. Thank you for your thoughtfulness Debbie. I know
you haven�t been well and missed some shows but you still manage to think
of those less fortunate than you. Let me know if you plan on helping this
year with the delivery.

Bear..from Bill�s daughter Stephanie who saved her babysitting money just
to purchase a gift for sick child at Stanford Hospital. It�s great when
the family gets involved too. Thank you Bill and Stephanie for your
thoughtfulness.
Ralph Avallone, Bloomfield NJ: 9 items. 1 solid wood chess set (very
nice!); 1 Candyland game; 1 Clue Jr. game; 3 4x4 Bully Trucks; 3
packages of �AA� batteries.
Great gifts Ralph. The kids are going to be very appreciative of your
gifts this Christmas.
Chris and Jackie Sirr; Middletown, RI: 22 items. 7 stuffed animals; 11
scrunchies; 1 Heather Fashion doll; 2 sixty piece Look A Likes puzzles; 1
rolling Crocodile wood puzzle. Thank you both for participating again
this year and taking the time to send something for the kids at Stanford.
So the count received this update is: 213!!! Add that to items already
received: 298 and we have a grand total to date of: 511.....Well members
we are half way there!!
There are only 19 days left of the 4 th Annual Doobie Brothers Fan Club
Toy Drive. With a little more effort on many of our parts, we can get
this count past 1000 items. Make sure when you send your package to
include an inventory list along with your name and address please. Items
should be new (or next to new) with no fumes from air freshening agents
or cigarette smoke. You are sending items to sick children who cannot
tolerate some of the environmental toxins. The clean donations should be
sent to arrive at my house no later than Dec. 15....the elves (and please
contact me if you plan on helping this year) will be delivering to
Stanford on Saturday Dec. 16.
